We had a great time at Holden Beach!

We stayed at a house right on the beach, with Benjy’s parents and grandmother.

There was grilling and beer drinking…

…relaxing in the sun…

….and Susan was the only one brave enough to get in the water.

We took the puppies out on the beach.

This picture illustrates their feelings about the water pretty well. Keena LOVED it, Obi…not so much.
The puppies handled their first trip really well, but I think we’ll wait a while before we take another. We hope everyone had a great weekend!

The puppies have been keeping us busy. We had the first trip to the vet, the first trip to the dog park, the first bath, many walks, and lots of playing!

Obi and Keena LOVE to play. Thank goodness they have each other to wrastle with.

They wear each other out, so they sleep a lot, thank goodness. Little spooners.

They are pretty smart little buggers. They’ve got “sit” under their belts already, and we are working on “stay”…..as I type all these wonderful things about lil Obi and Keena…they both pee on their brand new dog bed…(sigh)…puppies.

Benjy and I (and Obi and Keena) will be going to the beach with Benjy’s parents this weekend. A much needed vacation! We hope you all have a fabulous holiday weekend.
Time for some homemade icecream…then sweet dreams.

In case anyone was worried….we made it! We biked the entire 50K! It took us 4.5 hours and we were definitely tempted to quit a couple times. We have our friend Cat to thank for the extra motivation we needed to make it to the end. We have decided that there is absolutely NO need to ride a bike for that long or that far. We’ll stick to some 5 – 10 mile joyrides from now on.

Cat and I, before the bike ride. We were one of the few people to attempt the ride on mountain bikes.

At the finish, with sore tushies and slight delirium.
I’m gonna try to post our March and April photo albums tonight.
