Party, Party, Party
The holidays can be so stressful, but I do love all the parties!
Last weekend, I went to Angela and Richard’s First Annual Ornament Party. Each guest was asked to bring an ornament. It was suggested that you bring an ornament that somehow represents yourself. We voted and there were prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. It was a really neat way for friends to help Richard and Angela decorate their tree. While I was at the ornament party, Benjy represented the Benjerin Family at Kevin’s birthday shindig.
This past Wednesday, we attended Benjy’s work Christmas party. The company reserved a local bar for the party and drinks were free! There was a catered buffet, door prizes and a DJ. Benjy won a gift card to Home Depot. I really enjoyed meeting Benjy’s co-workers. It was a good party, but being a Wednesday, we couldn’t stay out too late.
Friday, my work had a Christmas Luncheon with catered food and lots of service awards and door prizes. I didn’t win any prizes this year, but I received a 3-year service award, a snazzy leather duffle bag, with the company name on it of course. Friday night, the President hosted a party at his house for all of management. There was yummy food from some fancy local restaurants, plenty of alcohol, and karaoke. It is always fun to hang out with co-workers outside of work, in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Tonight we are having a holiday potluck dinner with our Athens friends. I will bring leftover shrimp-and-grits from last night’s party, and I will also make macaroni-and-cheese and I will bake a pound cake. FOOD FOOD FOOD! Since we usually have an insane amount of food at these holiday potlucks, we will probably be getting together again on Sunday to eat the leftovers. Tonight we also plan to do an ornament exchange in place of a gift exchange.
Well, I better get cookin’!
We hope everyone is having a very merry holiday season with lots of fun get togethers with family an friends.
