Earlier, I wrote about finding a new beer that amused and delighted me. That made me think about a broader topic - the Good Life, capital G, capital L. I have a wonderful life. Sometimes I forget that, if I get bogged down in the minutia of minor little hassles. I have a terrific husband, Mr. Wonderful, who has been in my life since 1974. I have two great daughters and a great son-in-law, all of whom actually enjoy spending time together with each other and with me. From personal experience of 54 years (and 4 months) of living in the big world, I know it's rare to have a happy, loving family. I'm lucky to be able to live in a home I like that is affordable for me. I'm lucky to have a job I like that doesn't interfere much with the rest of my life. I'm lucky to be comparatively healthy. Because I have an abundance of food choices, I have that common abundance condition - overweight. If I reversed that overweight condition, I'd be spectacularly healthy. I'm lucky that simple things make me happy - simple meals, books, movies, music, cats, beer, tea, cookies, taking a walk. -- Nan
